Varmints returns

Varmints is back!

Sadler's Wells co-production with East London Dance and Stratford Circus Arts Centre delighted young audiences when it first toured in 2013. It is now preparing to make a triumphant return to the UK tour scene in 2015.

Based on the book by Helen Ward with beautiful illustrations by Marc Craste, Varmints is a heart-warming tale about one creature's struggle to find peace in a world in danger of being lost forever.

Choreographer Wilkie Branson and director Sally Cookson got together this week to talk about the restaging ahead of rehearsals happening earlier this year.

Sadler's Wells wins touring award

We did it!

Sadler's Wells' producing and touring efforts were formally recognised yesterday at the UK Theatre Awards as they were jointly awarded the Renee Stepham award for Best Presentation of Touring Theatre 2014 alongside Shakespeare's Globe.

Executive Producer Suzanne Walker (far left) collected the accolade which was presented by Anita Dobson at the ceremony at London's Guild Hall on Sunday 19 October.

The award recognises the vast amount of touring the Sadler's Wells' productions have done to UK venues over the last year and the efforts they have made to reach out to new audiences and form new partnerships.

Well done everyone!
