PUSHing the boundaries in Taipei

Following on from their massively successful final London performances, Sylvie Guillem and Russell Maliphant performed PUSH in Taipei for the first time this weekend.

They were certainly looking forward to the show as giant posters appeared all over the city.

Could this be the last time PUSH is ever performed? Watch this space for future dates for all Sadler's Wells' productions.

PUSH enjoys a standing ovation on return to London

Sylvie Guillem & Russell Maliphant in PUSH. Photo Bill Cooper
Sadler's Wells' production PUSH enjoyed rapturous applause and a unanimous standing ovation on it's opening night at the London Coliseum yesterday. These performances are the last time PUSH will be performed in London which only added to the excitement of the audience.

Sylvie Guillem and Russell Maliphant first premiered the show in at Sadler's Wells in September 2005. Since then it has toured all over the world and has never failed to delight audiences wherever it has been seen.

One excited audience member managed to catch a selfie with Artistic Director Alistair Spalding and Miss Guillem after the show. OK, Sandra is one of our assistant producers but she was still very excited!

PUSH will next be performed in Taipei. If you can't make it to London or Taipei, you can always get the DVD from our shop!

Here's a clip to whet your appetite:

Russell Maliphant and assistant producer Fanny Bannet were greeted at the airport by some traditional folk musicians...
